Our story began in 2005 on the high-altitude trails of the Himalayas. Founded by Tenzin Dorjee, a native Tibetan guide with a vision, ChinaTrips (formerly Travel Tibet Group) started as a small collective of local experts who lived and breathed the mountain air.
We saw many travelers visiting sacred sites merely as "tourists," missing the pulse of the local culture. We chose to change that narrative. What started as a passion for the sacred Mount Kailash has grown into a premier travel gateway, bridging the gap between East and West, and honoring the sanctity of every destination we touch—from the golden temples of Lhasa to the vibrant spirit of greater China.
